Édouard Champion (1882–1938) was a French publisher, bookseller, historian and writer. He headed Éditions Honoré Champion from 1913 and served as historiographer of the Comédie-Française. He was also known for his rich collection of rare books. He wrote several books, including a few that resulted from his visit to the United States: in 1927, he traveled across most of the country, delivering eighty lectures at colleges and schools.

Jacques Maritain’s monumental body of work centers on the relationship between Christian faith and philosophical reason.

Spine faded, in rather very good condition otherwise.
