About Us

LIVRES DALLEAU

Livres Dalleau specializes in modern and contemporary French literature, spanning from the late 19th century to today. Our collection focuses on rare and exceptional books, including first editions, meaningful association copies, author inscriptions, and exquisite bindings. In addition to French literature, we also offer U.S. Modern First Editions, with a particular emphasis on works by French authors.

Founded by Jean-Luc Savignac, a New York City resident since 2004, Livres Dalleau was established in France in 2019 and expanded its operations to the United States in 2023.

Our passion for books and the stories they carry is at the heart of everything we do. The name “Dalleau” is inspired by Richard Dalleau, the protagonist of Joseph Kessel’s Le Tour du Malheur—a tribute to one of our favorite authors.

We are committed to providing outstanding customer service and meticulous descriptions of every book we offer, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Our website only provides a selected view of our inventory. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries – we are happy to research and source rare editions or documents through our extensive network of partners.
