Exile and the Kingdom is a collection of six short stories, which illustrate Camus’ thoughts about humanism, rebellion, the search for meaning…the constant themes in his writings. 

 It was published right after Camus received the Nobel Prize in October 1957, and a bit more than two years before he died in a car accident (early 1960). 

French Limited First Edition, one of 950 on Alfa, ours bearing the number 888, after 45 on Hollande and 210 on Vellum (“Vélin pur fil Lafuma Navarre). 

Publishers’ binding, In the original design by Mario Prassinos.
