In addition to the famous and particularly moving speech delivered during the transfer of Jean Moulin's ashes to the Pantheon "Entre ici Jean Moulin, avec ton terrible cortege" on December 19, 1964, this collection brings together seven other texts pronounced by André Malraux between 1958 and 1965 ("Libération de Paris", "Discours d'Athènes", "Discours de l'Unesco pour les monuments de Nubie", "Discours de l'Alliance israëlite universelle", "Oraison funèbre de Georges Braque", "Oraison funèbre de Jeanne d'Arc", "Oraison funèbre de Le Corbusier").
These texts will be taken up again in 1976 in "Le Miroir des Limbes".
